The process of making soap can be divided into the following steps:

1. Prepare materials

The basic materials needed to make soap include: oil, sodium hydroxide, water, flavors and pigments. Among them, you can choose butter, lard, coconut oil, etc. as fats. Sodium hydroxide is a key raw material for making soap and can be purchased from pharmacies.

2. Mix oil and sodium hydroxide

Mix the oil and sodium hydroxide together in a certain proportion and stir evenly. The specific ratio needs to be determined based on the type of grease selected and the required soap hardness. The usual ratio is 1:1 between grease and sodium hydroxide.

3. Heat and stir

Put the mixed fat and sodium hydroxide into the pot, heat until it boils, then turn down the heat and stir constantly. During the stirring process, you need to pay close attention to the situation in the pot to avoid burning or agglomeration.

4. Add flavors and colors

When the mixture is stirred to a viscous consistency, you can add an appropriate amount of essence and coloring to create your favorite scent and color. It should be noted that the amount of fragrance and pigment should not be too much, so as not to affect the quality of the soap.

5. Pour into mold

Pour the mixture of flavor and color into the prepared mold and set aside to cool and solidify. Molds can be containers of various shapes and sizes, chosen according to personal preference.

6. Demolding and cutting

When the mixture has cooled and solidified, remove the soap from the mold and cut it. You need to soak the knife in cold water when cutting to prevent the soap from sticking. The cut soap can be placed in a ventilated place to dry and wait for natural air drying.
