(1) Palm oil degumming: that is, the removal of phospholipids, mucilages, resins, proteins, sugars, trace metals, etc. in the crude oil. Generally, hydration method, acid refining method, etc. are used.

(2) Palm oil deacidification: Use food-grade alkali neutralization method to remove free fatty acids, acidic pigments, sulfides, insoluble impurities and trace metals in the oil.

(3) Palm oil washing: wash away the soap stock and water-soluble impurities remaining in the oil during the deacidification process.

(4) Palm oil dehydration: Use heating and vacuum drying methods to remove moisture from the refined oil.

(5) Palm oil decolorization: Use adsorbents such as clay, aluminum silicate, and activated carbon to remove various pigments, colloids, oxides, etc. in the oil.

(6) Palm oil deodorization: The principle of vacuum stripping is used to remove low-molecular odor substances, free fatty acids, monoglycerides, diglycerides, sulfides and pigment thermal decomposition products in the oil.

(7) Palm oil dewaxing or degreasing: Freezing, crystallization or winterization crystallization, and fractionation methods are mainly used to remove wax fat or solid fat in the oil.
