Crude Palm Oil Refining Process:

Degumming: Add an appropriate amount of water and chemical reagents to palm oil to precipitate the gum in the oil, and then remove the gum through filtration or centrifugation. Degumming improves the stability and clarity of palm oil.

Deacidification: Utilize alkali solution to neutralize the free fatty acids in palm oil to generate soap and water, and then separate the soap and water through centrifugation or precipitation to reduce the acid value of palm oil.

Decolorization: By adding adsorbents such as activated carbon and clay to absorb pigments and other impurities in palm oil, the color of palm oil will be lighter and its appearance quality will be improved.

Deodorization: Under high temperature and high vacuum conditions, palm oil is steam distilled to remove odors and volatile substances in the oil, making the smell of palm oil purer.

Fractionation (optional): According to different needs, the refined palm oil can be fractionated. Fractionation uses the difference in melting points of different components in palm oil to separate palm oil into products with different melting points through cooling, crystallization, separation and other steps, such as 24-degree palm oil, 33-degree palm oil, 44-degree palm oil, etc.

Packaging and storage: After the above series of treatments, the palm oil reaches product standards and is finally packaged. Packaging can be in plastic barrels, iron barrels or oil tankers, selected according to different sales channels and customer needs. Packaged palm oil needs to be stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight and high temperature environments, to ensure the quality and shelf life of palm oil.
